Psalm 78:4-8 We will not hide them from their children. Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.
 
It is a great responsibility each generation carries to pass to the next the knowledge and fear of the Lord. And though each one will stand alone before God on the judgment day to give account for choices made, how faithful we were in teaching those who follow us the precepts of the Lord will certainly be a large part of the criteria by which we are judged.  How well the next generation does at being the hope and light of the world will be profoundly influenced by the job we do in modeling Godly values and faithfulness to them. They will not be able to blame our failure for their disobedience but perhaps Go will.
