Who is more Spiritual?

Matt 18:1  "...the disciples came to Jesus, saying, 'Who then is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?' "

When we compare ourselves with others in the Body of Christ, we are falling into the same trap that the disciples fell into.  It is a ruse of the enemy to keep our eyes on what is of the earth instead of the eternal.  Often we allow a whisper in our ear that says 'They have a gift that I don't have'  or 'The pastor likes them better than me'  or 'God never speaks to me that way'  etc, etc (you get the picture).  II Cor 10:12 says "...comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise."  But God has given us the right to choose.  We have the choice of humbling ourselves before God (Matt 18:4), which in turn releases Him to use us a He so chooses.  Allowing God to choose how, when, where and if He will use us, brings maturity, power, wisdom and blessing.  So when you see a brother or sister being used of God, rejoice with and for them.  Then take that desire for what they have and turn it towards the Lord, seeking Him to use you in ways that will bring glory to Him and Him alone.  Isn't that what we really want in the first place?

Have a great day.
