I Samuel 13:9-10 AND SAUL OFFERED UP THE BURNT OFFERING. JUST AS HE FINISHED MAKING THE OFFERING, SAMUEL ARRIVED AND SAUL WENT OUT TO GREET HIM. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?" ASKED SAMUEL
 
This passage speaks to the tendency of man to make his or her own way in the face of adversity. When things get tough, it is the nature of man to try to take control of his own destiny, When we take this course of action we are given our own way. Because Saul chose to take the matter into his own hands and not honor the Lord, then God was not able to honor him.
 
This is a constant challenge for me. It is so difficult to wait on the Lord when it seems like something needs to be done NOW and the enemy is closing in.
 
Lord, I need your grace to patiently wait, truly look to you for my daily leading and provision.
