I Cor 12:3  "...no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit."
 
This is such a simple statement yet very powerful and gives us the key to the true Lordship of our God and that is the Holy Spirit.  Pastor Joe has been talking alot about idols in our lives and it is easy to take a few seconds to examine ourselves and then say, "No idols here", then go on about our daily lives.  But have we taken the time to surrender to Him and ask the Holy Spirit to draw us to the throne of God?  The Holy Spirit's job is to draw us to our God, but He must be invited.  He will not invade our lives, yet is searching continually for that heart that will yield to Him.  I would challenge all of us to ask the Holy Spirit to do His work within us...to draw us further into the Kingdom of God.  I think then there would be a true revealing of who is really Lord in our lives.  I choose Jesus...
 
Do you want to see Yakima changed?  Do you yearn for God to be glorified in our Valley?  Ask the Holy Spirit to make Jesus Lord of your life!!  Continue to ask, continue to desure the Kingdom of God, yet leaving the choice to Him of how, when and where He will come, after all He is LORD!
 
Holy Spirit, draw me.  Holy Spirit, draw me.  Holy Spirit, draw me....I surrender all...
