Deuteronomy 2

I am fascinated by the story of Rahab the Jericho prostitute. The scripture does not tell us how the Israel spies came to stay the night in her house but clearly her response to protect and even encourage them gains her favor in God's eyes resulting in her entire family being spared from the slaughter that shortly followed. Perhaps someday I will have the answer to questions that God chose not to reveal in His Word. Of all the wise people in Jericho how did this woman of questionable character make the cut?  What are God's spies doing spending the night at Rahab's? These are great examples of GOd's wisdom being foolishness to man and vice versa. And if Rahab lived in the wall it must have been the only part of the wall still standing. A great lesson there for us when it seems the walls are getting shaky. And just how many days would her family stayed with her when all the opposing army was just marching around the city?
