Uncommon Forgiveness

Gen. 45: 13-15

Tell my father about all the honor accorded me in Egypt and about everything you have seen.  And bring my father down here quickly.
Then he thew his arms around his brother Benjamin and wept, and Benjamin embraced him, weeping.  And he kissed all his brothers and
wept over them.

The forgiveness that Joseph demonstrates to his brothers in the passage is key to the honor he was given in Egypt.  Had Joseph harboured bitterness and resentment against his brothers or God, he would have languished in Egypt.  A slave in Potiphar's house, a prisoner in a dungeon without hope, without a future.  He would have died in obscurity, one of the faceless masses and we would not be telling is story to our grand children.  But because he chose to obey God and forgive those who sinned against him and honor those over him, including Potiphas's wife by not yielding to her unholy advances, God honors Joseph.  God prospers him and his household.  Everyone around him is blessed by his faithful obedience.  Men - Check it out!!
