I John 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished onus, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

I think to accept being called a child of God is much simpler than grasping the reality that that is what we are. I appreciate the emphasis in this scripture in I John that we are not only called God's children, we are His children. Think about that for a moment! We, as many as received Him, yielded our will to His, we are God's sons and daughters. This is true because He lavished His love on us. He hasn't thinly spread a little love on us. We have been creamed , swamped, flooded, completely covered, well you get the picture.
How then should we live? God's word, the Holy Bible clearly spells that out for us. It is the child of God instruction manual.
