The Snare Has Been Broken

Psalm 124: 7-8 We have escaped like a bird out of the fowler's snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped. 8 Our help is in the name of the LORD,  the Maker of heaven and earth.

So often I am reminded and challenged to be thankful, to not take for granted the good, the generous, the amazing gifts that my life is filled with.  I have been aware from a very young age that God’s hand of protection was over me, that he saved me many times.   Psalm 124 paints a very visual picture of what Satan strives to do to each of us.  No thing we can accomplish, no measure of righteousness or obedience that we can muster up is near enough to escape.  It is only by God’s grace that we are spared from the schemes of the enemy, only by God’s grace that we have eyes to see and ears to hear Him in our lives.  Thank you Lord, that all my hope is in you, that all my help is found in you, the Maker of heaven and earth.
