1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Whenever I need lifting up turn to this passage in the bible. This passage is a basis for how we should all live. We are called to go and make disciples of the land, and to do that we need to first achieve love. Otherwise bringing people to Christ, making disciples is pointless and will bear no fruit.
In summer camp three years ago this topic of love was a huge issue. If I recall correctly the theme was Radical King and how we should mirror that. That we should go out and do radical things for God because he came and did the most radical thing for us. (sending his only son to die for us). Throughout summer camp people kept receiving the word or emotion of love. That we as Christians need to go out, with love, and make disciples.
I know this topic is constantly revisited, but the topic of love is revisted so many times because it is so important. I just hope and pray that we as a church can look at the topic of love with a renewed freshness and zeal. That we can truly reflect God's love.
