Job 33: 13,14 "Why do you complain to Him that He answers none of mans words? For God does speak - now one way, now another - though man may not perceive it."
It is the carnal minded man that questions God's willingness to communicate with His people. The truth is He is not only willing, God's great desire is to have constant, intimate spiritual interaction with His beloved bride. Think about it, He describes us as His bride. Picture a marriage of a man and woman. He is truly the perfect husband. He has made his bride the center of his universe, laid down his life for her, provided for her every need and then some, has eyes only for her. Yet, every effort to communicate his love and devotion is ignored as the wife hurries about her busy life, fussing over the home, keeping up the the latest fashions. Preoccupied with her appearance and how she might be perceived by others. Worried about the finances, thinking to herself, if he just made a little more we would be "secure". All the while the kind, loving husband keeps wooing this self absorbed distracted wife, trying to convey his care first one way and then another. Jesus says to us in REV. 3:20 "Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any man hears my voice and opens the door I will come into him and sup with him and he with me." Make no mistake, Jesus did not pay the price that he did for our redeemption, simply to ignore us when we draw near to Him. Halleluia! Praise God for His unspeakable grace!
